We had an amazing concert at St. Davids Cathedral last Friday – Midsummer’s Day. Theweather that evening was perfect, the venue was stunning and everyone enjoyed our concert which featured the Haverfordwest Male Voice Choir, Neyland Ladies Choir (Musical Director Lynne Kelleher), Philip Howells (fantastic performance on the Marimba) and Sarah Sharp (a very accomplished clarinettist) who was also the Musical Director for the HMVC. Peter Griffiths accompanied both choirs and our excellent compere was Huw George. More details of how much we raised for the HOPE Centre soon.
We had such a good day last Friday learning some new crafts with our friends from the Pembs MS Group. Taster sessions on rag rugging, glasswork, free stitching, painting and printing were much appreciated as was the shared lunch provided by Nanette. Thank you to Janet and Linda our tutors for their patience and we look forward to doing it all again sometime very soon.

Recently HOPE has been privileged to receive donations from the Licensed Victuallers
Association, the Freemasons of Milford Haven, Rotary Club of Tenby, the Soupermen of Tenby and Burton Community Council. These donations total over £3,700 – a fantastic effort – and are in addition to monies we received from The Longhouse Comedy Night and the Pembrokeshire Model Railway Club. We have also just learnt that we will be receiving £1,436 from the Saundersfoot New Year Swim.
Wishing everyone a nice Easter weekend. Our Centre is closed on Easter Monday but everything as usual from Tuesday.
We had a lovely concert by the Griffon Choir at St. John’s Church, Tenby, last night. Their selection of choral Easter music was complimented beautifully by Mia Childs on the Cello. Our thanks to St. John’s Church, the Griffon Choir, Mia and our volunteers who helped on the night. We raised a total of £166 which will go, as always, towards providing our therapies.
We were very pleased to welcome Peter Wilson and his colleagues from the model railway club when they visited HOPE to give us a donation of £285. Such kind people. Thank you.
Just a reminder – the HOPE Centre is closed all day on Easter Monday.
